...With Autumn I Fell... is a winding storyline of the darker destinies of love and devotion. Each of the thirteen tracks (one for each week of the season) follows the storyteller through a twisting tunnel of loss and regret – the “autumn” of their faith in themselves and in others. The early doubt and confusion experienced during Lifemare Part 1 turns to a brief resurgence of hope in First Frost and Indian Summer, only to be followed by heartbreaking betrayal in Ballad of You and I – all leading the way to the ultimate despair of Loveless and Black Is the Color. The entire album is a thematic performance of paradise lost – the wilting of the flower of youth and hope.
...With Autumn I Fell... is designed to be listened to from start to finish – while I feel each track is strong in its own right, the album truly comes alive when listened to as a whole body of work. I highly recommend listening to the CD as a full album experience, beginning to end. Additionally, there is a negative hidden track (the instrumental title track, With Autumn I Fell) which can be found by rewinding 3:58 minutes backwards from Lifemare Part 1 (track #1).
